How to ask forgiveness from Allah for zina?
How to get forgiveness from Allah? The door of repentance is open to all sinners, and the conditions for repentance from adultery are as follows:
Quitting the sin
Whoever commits adultery or helps in it must sincerely repent to Allah and stay away from this sin and what helps in it. If he has forbidden relationships, he should cut them off, and if he has recordings or pictures or anything related to immorality, he should delete them and seek help from Allah – the Most High – turning to it and getting rid of his sin in any way.
Resolve not to return
The one who repents from adultery must not return to his sin, and must continue in his repentance, and resolve not to return to this sin at all. This will achieve the perfection of repentance, Allah willing. If he returns, he must repent again until he stops his sin, and he must not insist on it even if he falls into it, but rather repeat the repentance every time he falls into it.
Regretting the sin
The meaning of regret is to be sorry for what he has committed of this immorality and to be sad about doing it, so he should increase his humiliation and submission before Allah – the Most High – remembering his humiliation, and stay away from boasting and bragging.
Is there an expiation for adultery?
Sins that are subject to harsh punishments and are forbidden in themselves do not require expiation, such as adultery. This is not to make things easier for the sinner, but rather because expiation is of no use in such sins and transgressions. Rather, expiation is required for actions that are originally permissible and then changed to forbidden, such as having intercourse with one’s wife during Ramadan, since having intercourse with one’s wife is permissible, but during the obligatory fasting period it is forbidden and the one who does it must have expiation.
Is the repentance of the adulterer accepted?
Repentance is obligatory for every sin and every sinner. If a Muslim repents sincerely, it is accepted, Allah willing, and his bad deeds are even changed to good deeds if he is sincere in his repentance. Allah Almighty has encouraged His servants to repent and urged them to do so.
